Project Description

We secured planning permission and listed building consent for a major refurbishment project for this Grade II listed building within the Thurloe Estate and Smith’s Charity Conservation Area in Knightsbridge, London. The works included major repairs to historic parts of the building and the re-introduction of features that had been lost with the passing of time. Where modern additions were made they were justified with guidance from a historic building consultant.

The strategy was agreed with Planning and Heritage Officers from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea at the pre-application consultation stage and following a a comprehensive submission assembled and co-ordinated by Parker Dann. The subsequent applications for planning permission and listed building consent were approved by the Council without delay.
