Project Description

Parker Dann obtained planning and listed building consent in 2010 for the change of use of Sussex barns set within the curtilage of the Grade II listed Hendall Manor. The proposed use was for seminars, public receptions and conferences together with listed building works to facilitate the works.

The house and barns are set within the countryside adjacent to and partly within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so the proposals required very careful consideration both in terms of the restoration and facilitating works to the buildings, and also their proposed uses all of which had to accord fully with relevant Local Plan and national planning policies.

The barns set within this spectacular location are open to public engagements. There can be no doubt that Hendall Manor Barns will be a real asset to Wealden District and the local community whilst the business generated will bring about significant benefits to the rural economy.
