Details
Plumpton Place is a Grade II* Registered Park and Garden that contains the Grade II* listed Plumpton Place, the Grade II listed Mill House, the Grade II listed cottages and gateway and the Grade II listed Moat Barn. The property extends to approximately 19 hectares and is located within the South Downs National Park. A comprehensive masterplan for the renewal and enhancement of the estate has been prepared by Dan Pearson Studio and Parker Dann was appointed to deliver the necessary planning approvals for it. We have assisted with the briefing and appointment of a team of consultants to guide the development of the proposals. This led to a positive pre-application consultation with Officers from the South Downs National Park Authority and their consultees. Following this, the project was separated into three separate phases of development that concern different parts of the estate. The works have included changes to planting and hard landscaping across the estate, works to the moat island, demolition of the west wing of a stable block, conversion of the remaining stable block into seasonal guest accommodation, demolition of a workshop building and construction of a replacement maintenance barn. Parker Dann secured planning permission and listed building consent for the works and has also assisted with applications to comply with conditions attached to these decisions and amendments to the approved scheme.
